Geocaching HQ will soon update the User Privacy settings on Geocaching.com to clarify what data is shared with Project-GC and to give users more choice about how their data is shared.

As part of the update, your Geocaching profile information will be opted-in to sharing with Project-GC, regardless of your individual privacy settings. This will allow you to continue using Project-GC challenge checkers and other features.

To opt out of sharing before the update, please submit this form before Thursday, February 12, 2026.

When the update occurs, I prefer the new Project-GC privacy control detailed below to be unchecked such that my privacy settings will be applied to my profile information and I will not have access to Project-GC for challenge checkers and other features.
