Purpose:
St. Joseph Hospital honors employees that collectively and collaboratively exhibit the skills, expertise, and personal attributes that enhance delivery of exceptional patient care. Nominees demonstrate excellence within their practice and develop innovative approaches that improve patient outcomes. They engage respectfully and professionally with the interdisciplinary team, elevating their profession and consistently embodying the St. Joseph Hospital core values: Compassion, Integrity, Collaboration and Excellence.
At St. Joseph Hospital, we deeply appreciate the vital contributions of our non-nursing team members and honor their dedication to our patients, families, and nursing staff. This award recognizes a multidisciplinary team member who exemplifies teamwork in every aspect of their role. The nominee demonstrates positive collaboration and communication with all members of the healthcare team, as well as with patients and families. They consistently display professionalism and partner effectively across disciplines to ensure the highest quality of care and an exceptional patient experience. Through genuine kindness, compassion, and consideration, they meaningfully enhance and inspire the “real life” patient experience.
Eligibility: Eligible team members include Hospitality, Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory, Physicians, Mental Health Technicians Therapy, Respiratory, etc. The nominee must not be a RN, LPN, CMA, LNA or PSR as they are eligible for other awards.
Process: Any employee, physician, patient or volunteer may nominate. Recipients will be selected based on evidence provided by completion of the nomination criteria.
Award: Award winners will be announced and presented during Nurses’ Week.
Deadline: All nominations must be received by April 18, 2026
Instructions: Please cite specific examples including patient and physician comments. Expectation is to have at least 3-4 paragraphs to support this nominee. Failure to provide multiple, specific examples may result in disqualification of nomination.
