Saturday, May 24th: Fraser Creek Tributary at Henderson Park, Bradford (9:00am – noon)

* 9. VOLUNTEER PREPARATION & SAFETY TIPS FOR EVENT:
Come prepared for rain or shine. Except for severe weather, we are set for planting activities near a watercourse. Standard time commitment for the event is three hours, starting with orientation. Arrive at the site ten minutes early, if possible.

Work gloves

Water for hydration

Snack

Hand sanitizer

Bug repellent and sunscreen

Tools such as a shovel will be supplied but bringing your own is preferred. Remember to ID it!

List of things to wear

Safety shoes, rubber boots or other sturdy footwear (no sandals or open toe shoes)

Long-sleeved shirt and pants (no shorts) to protect against bugs like ticks and plants that can cause rash

Hat, jacket for rain/sun protection.

* 10. STUDENT COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS:
SSSN Events are approved for students seeking community service hours. When bringing the form, the student’s full name, school, date, and volunteer activity (i.e., Tree Planting) should already be filled out. Once filled out, send it to Theresa@nottawasga.com or bring it to the event to be signed.
