Thank you for your interest in assisting with the planning of Schuylkill Haven’s park system, recreation programming, and open space needs.
Over the past few months, the Borough has developed a Comprehensive Recreation and Open Space (Parks) Plan, which has set goals to guide planning for the next 15 years.
The 2026 Parks Plan will:
- Assess current park facilities and community recreation needs.
- Establish goals and objectives for the borough and its Recreation Department.
- Assess maintenance protocols - seeking efficiencies and sustainable practices to incorporate for the stewardship of facilities and open spaces.
- Identify opportunities to improve connectivity between parks, trails, and other recreational facilities.
