UpStart Small Business Grant Application

Grant Program Overview

Please don't apply unless your business is physically located in Washington County, Arkansas.  The grant awards starting at $500 are provided by the sales proceeds derived from efforts of an all volunteer non-profit thrift store called Upstart Thrift that is a program of the 501c3, Startup Junkie Foundation.  The intent is to provide a hand up to deserving small businesses in Washington County, Arkansas. Applicants will only be eligible for one award per calendar year.  Applications will be reviewed quarterly. The top three candidates will be contacted to conduct a brief interview. Candidates who do not receive a grant are still eligible for funds via Kiva NWA and free consulting from Startup Junkie.

10.Have you been in business for less than five years? (IF NOT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.  PROOF WILL BE REQUESTED.)

12.Is your business entity in good standing with the State of Arkansas (have all franchise taxes been paid)?
13.Do you or your business currently have any liens or any lawsuits currently in progress?
14.If your business currently has existing debt or loans of any type please describe the amount owed and indicate whether or not you are current in your payments.
15.UpStart Small Business Grants start at $500, based on expressed need and available resources. Please explain how you would use a small business grant and what you hope to achieve.

Eligibility. Open to persons who are: (a) legal residents of Washington County, Arkansas and (b) at least 18 or older at the date of entry in this Contest. Employees and directors, and their immediate family members, of the Contest Entities, and their parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotion agencies and legal and financial advisors are not eligible to participate in this grant. For purpose of the foregoing "immediate family" means parents, spouses, children, siblings or any members of the same households of such employees and directors. This Contest is void outside of the 50 U.S., in Puerto Rico, all US territories and possessions and were prohibited by law.
