CASLPO is proposing an update to its fees by-law to support the long-term financial sustainability of the College.
CASLPO’s Board of Directors is responsible for ensuring the College has the resources needed to meet its statutory mandate to protect the public through the regulation of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists in Ontario. At the same time, the Board must manage those resources carefully and responsibly.

Following a review of the College’s net assets and future financial projections, the Board has approved a proposed amendment to By-law No. 2 for circulation to registrants. The proposed amendment would permit annual fee adjustments of up to the year-over-year increase in the Ontario Consumer Price Index (CPI), subject to Board approval. CPI is a statistical measure that tracks the change over time in the prices that consumers pay for everyday goods and services.
Annual CPI-based adjustments in CASLPO fees would be intended to help avoid larger fee increases in future years and support more predictable planning for registrants and the College. This adjustment would not be automatic, and the Board could decide to waive the increase in any given year.
Please note that this proposed By-Law change, if approved, would not impact the 2026 registration renewal process. The fees charged for the period October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027 will remain the same.
