Important Information about Nominating

Research Australia’s Awards are an opportunity to shine a light on those who are working hard within our sector, who are making incredible discoveries and advancements, and who have tirelessly advocated and supported health and medical research.

Research Australia Award recipients can be individuals, teams or organisations that have dedicated themselves to improving outcomes for all Australians, be it through their own research, or through their support of research.

The Awards are in line with Research Australia’s strategic objective and endeavors to highlight the breadth of the sector and just as importantly outside of our sector enhancing community engagement.

The word count for each category is 700-800. We highly recommend editing your response in word and then paste into the text boxes provided. If you have any questions about the Awards process and program, please contact the Research Australia team via email or call 02 9295 8545.

Nominations open - March 2019
Nominations close - Friday 5 July 2019
Finalists will be advised - Early August 2019
Awards Gala Dinner - Thursday 10 October, Metropolis Ballroom, Southbank Melbourne

Submissions will be reviewed by the Awards Review Committee which consists of members from the Research Australia Board.

Nominations can be for any individual, team or organisation that meets the criteria for that Award category. Research Australia Membership is not a prerequisite, nor is it of any advantage or disadvantage during the entire nomination process.

Two nominators are required for each nomination.
-The primary nominator must be a Research Australia Member.
-A seconder (can be an individual, team or organisation
) is also required; they do not need to be from a Research Australia member organisation.
