The Gurnee Days Committee is asking for your help in nominating an individual or couple to be chosen as the 2026 Gurnee Days Honoree(s).
The Committee recognizes that the Village of Gurnee is comprised of many dedicated citizens whose self-sacrifices, response to duty, and other praiseworthy actions may go unnoticed or unremembered by the general public. With this said, we would like your help in honoring one of our fine Gurnee citizens at our community’s largest celebration. To qualify for the nomination, the individual(s) must have provided a meaningful contribution to the Village of Gurnee community for 5 years or more. Contributions may include volunteering with clubs, service organizations, charities, faith communities, and similar groups.
The person(s) selected will be honored at a testimonial reception which will be held on Thursday, August 6, at the Warren Township Center. The following day on Friday, August 7, the Gurnee Days Honoree(s) will kick off the festivities and introduce the opening band. In addition, the individual(s) will serve as Grand Marshall(s) of the Gurnee Days parade on Saturday, August 8.
