Accessible Housing Needs Survey |
Whangarei Accessible Housing Trust : Help us to help you
The Trust has been housing people aged under 65 with physical disabilities in affordable, accessible homes in Whangarei and Auckland for 20 years.
The Government is rolling out some funding to build new social housing and we are applying. We need your help to gather current relevant data to provide as part of our application. This will assist us with gaining funding for accessible housing from the Far North through to Auckland.
We currently have a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes. Our tenants tend to stay long term and we seldom have vacancies. From our waiting list we are aware there is a high need for further accessible housing.
We need information on
§ The areas we need to build more homes in;
§ The size of the homes needed;
§ The level of disability (which often removes other options for housing)
You can help us build more homes by filling in this short survey. It is optional to you include your name and contact phone number. However, if we are successful in getting a build underway in your preferred area and we have this information, we can make contact with you to assist in making a formal application.
