The Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation is creating its
2026 - 2030 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). The Yakama Nation CEDS is a five-year economic strategy that guides how the Nation will strengthen the Yakama economy, support Tribal Members, and advance sustained growth for current and future Yakama Members.
This Draft CEDS has been developed through a community-informed process from August through December 2025. This includes a CEDS survey and community updates, guidance from the Tribal Council, OED, and the Nation CEDS Committee, as well as publicly available data and Yakama Nation data.
The Draft CEDS is now available for a 30-day public review period. The purpose of this comment period is to gather additional input from Tribal Members to help ensure the plan’s successful implementation and that it effectively reflects the priorities and needs of the Nation. In the coming month, the updated Draft CEDS will be presented to the General Council and Tribal Council for review and approval.
