2026 Pediatrics Open Science Deputy Editor Application
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is looking for candidates to serve as Deputy Editor for Pediatrics Open Science, a new peer-reviewed open access journal.
The Deputy Editor will work closely with the Editor in Chief, and together they will be responsible for the journal's overall editorial content and peer-review management, while defining the journal's open access editorial strategy and open access policies. The Deputy Editor will help develop a vision for the journal's global reputation and provide informed content that has an impact on the quality of pediatric patient care.
Appointments are made on the basis of knowledge, expertise, and interest. The AAP treats all nomination materials as confidential. Applications, CVs, and other documents will be kept secure and will not be shared with anyone except designated AAP staff and the editorial leadership.

**The AAP limits leadership roles to one per member at a time. If you currently hold an AAP leadership role, you will be required to relinquish the role if appointed to the editorial board. (For example, executive committee roles on committees/sections/councils and editorial board roles are considered leadership roles.)
