Welcome to the Arlington 2026 Annual Town Survey!
The survey is a tool used by the Town to set goals, deliver services, and evaluate results of its initiatives. It is also used to evaluate knowledge and awareness of various issues and resources and to gauge sentiment on various topics relevant to the Town and its residents. In 2026, we cover a lot of topics, and we provide many opportunities for open-ended responses, all of which are kept anonymous. Any resident age 15 years or older may complete the survey. You do not have to complete the entire survey, but to submit your responses, please make sure to go to the end of the survey and click the "Done" button. The survey closes at 11:59 PM on Friday, February 13, 2026.
This survey is longer than recent surveys for a couple reasons: first, there are more questions, and second, there are more open-ended questions. Of course, we encourage you to review and answer as many questions as you can. More answers from more participants give us greater confidence that we have a representative view of the community's opinions. Depending on how much input you provide on the open-ended questions, the survey can take as little as 10 minutes or over 30 minutes.
Again, there is no obligation to take the entire survey. Answer as many questions as you wish on the topics you find interesting. There are 15 sections. Except for the second section with the demographic questions, most sections have 2-6 questions. As a preview, here is a listing of the sections:

You can go back and forth to review questions and modify your answers as much as you want by clicking the "Next" or "Previous" buttons at the bottom of your screen to navigate through the survey. DO NOT USE THE BACK ARROW OF YOUR BROWSER BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REENTER THE SURVEY!
Whenever you are ready to submit your answers, click the "Next" button, repeatedly if necessary, until you arrive at the last page which will have a "Done" button which you must click to submit your responses!
