Preface
People with cancer experience a range of symptoms and side effects as a result of their treatment. These are often sporadic and unpredictable. Significant research efforts are being made to develop ways to predict an individual’s risk of side effects, e.g., genetic testing. These tools/tests offer the potential to identify people at risk of side effects and adapt their treatment/care plans to minimize the impact of side effects.
The purpose of this survey is to understand the perceptions of healthcare providers and patients/caregivers regarding the prediction of side effects. The survey has been designed by members of the Multinational Association for Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) – a global leader in supportive cancer care. Our goal is to use this information to inform how risk prediction strategies can be most effectively implemented into daily clinical care.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and has been approved by the ethics committee of Rambam Health Care Campus (RMB-0443-24).
Thank you for your time.
