6.NYSBA LGBTQ+ Law Section 2026 Mentoring Program Application

The LGBTQ+ Law Section of the New York State Bar Association in collaboration with the LGBT Bar Association of Greater NY (LeGaL) is pleased to launch its 2026 Mentoring Program. Purpose and expectations:

  • Mentor/mentee pairs will meet at least 30 minutes quarterly, virtually or in-person, as mutually agreed.
  • In the first meeting, the mentee will propose a brief agenda of career topics or questions; ongoing meetings should follow defined goals.
  • Welcome reception: pairs will be invited to a virtual kickoff event in early 2026 and an in-person networking event in Spring 2026 located in NYC.
  • Pairs are encouraged to attend the LGBTQ+ Law Section’s Annual Meeting in January 2026 and networking events hosted by NYSBA LGBTQ+ Law Section and LGBT Bar Association of Greater NY.
