Irish Wind Industry Awards 2020

Entry Criteria and Process

The Irish Wind Industry Awards will recognise and celebrate the most original and innovative individuals and companies that demonstrate excellence in the Irish Wind sector.  

Please ensure you read the Application Rules of Entry in our Terms and Conditions section on the Awards page of our website before you start this application.

Step 1

Participants are asked to complete an online application before 5.00pm on 12th December 2019.  There will be no exemptions made for applications received after this time.  You can nominate your own company or make an application on behalf of your peer companies in the industry.  You can enter as many categories as you wish.  A sponsor company cannot enter it's own sponsored category or make an application on behalf of another peer company that they have an interest in, in their own category

Step 2

The award categories will look to reward innovation, a unique selling point or contribution of a project, initiative or person in the Irish Wind Industry implemented in or relevant to 2019 under the following headings;

1. Company background and experience (150 words max)

2. Introduction to project / initiative / person (250 words max)

3. Innovation / Unique Selling Point / Contribution (500 words max)

4. Impact (500 words max)

5. Summary (200 words max)

6. Declaration on behalf of company

Submissions will be marked by a panel of wind energy experts (one representative from each of the sponsor categories) and will be chaired by an industry expert. Where one of the sponsors has applied to a category the judge representing that company will be exempt from judging for that particular category. Submissions will be assessed using the following criteria:

a. Operational capacity of company (5%)
b. Level of innovation / Unique selling point / Contribution (45%)
c. Impact (50%)

Total maximum score available 1000 100%

Step 3

There will be a minimum of 3 nominees shortlisted in each category which will be announced online at www.iwea.com on 13th January 2020.

Step 4

The final winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Night on 24th January 2020.
