About the Opportunity
WEConnect International are seeking Expressions of Interest from eligible women-owned businesses to receive fully funded WEConnect International certification for a period of three years.
WEConnect International certification is a globally recognised certification for businesses that are at least 51% women-owned, managed and controlled. Certification provides access to supplier diversity networks and can support businesses seeking procurement opportunities with corporations and government agencies committed to inclusive sourcing.
Through this pilot, up to 50 eligible businesses will be selected to receive:
Three-year WEConnect International certification (fully funded)
Access to a WEConnect International educational session covering:
The value of certification
Supplier diversity programs
How women-owned businesses can engage with procurement opportunities
Participation in a buyer insight session delivered by corporate procurement professionals
Guidance and support throughout the certification process
The NSW Government has partnered with WEConnect International to develop this pilot which aims to strengthen the pipeline of procurement-ready women-owned businesses in New South Wales and increase participation in corporate and government supply chains.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, applicants must:
Be a business that is at least 51% women-owned, managed and controlled.
Be based in New South Wales or have significant business operations within New South Wales.
Have an established product or service offering.
Demonstrate readiness and interest in engaging with corporate and/or government procurement opportunities.
Commit to participate in the certification process and related program activities.
Priority Sectors
Applications are welcome from all eligible women-owned businesses. However, priority consideration will be given to businesses operating in sectors that align with current and emerging government and corporate procurement demand, including:

Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
Professional & Consulting Services
Transport & Logistics
Facilities & Property Services
Health & Medical Supplies
Human & Community Services
Education & Training
Energy & Utilities
Corporate & Administrative Services.
Operating within a priority sector does not guarantee selection; however, it may strengthen an application's alignment with the objectives of the pilot.
Applications encouraged from women under-represented in business
To support women who face intersecting barriers and are under-represented in business, applications are strongly encouraged from businesses that support the following priority cohorts:
