FRC Exploration Learning Cohort Application

Introduction

Family Resource Centers are trusted, community-based hubs where families can find connection, information, and support in times of need and as part of everyday life. Prevent Child Abuse Arizona is launching this exploration cohort to support communities interested in learning what it takes to create a local Family Resource Center.

This application will help us understand your community, your interest in this work, and your readiness to participate in a collaborative learning experience.

Who Should Apply

We are specifically seeking local leaders who are ready to convene partners and help move the idea of a Family Resource Center forward in their community. Applicants should be rooted in their local context, connected to community needs, and interested in learning alongside peers from across Arizona. Communities are encouraged to apply with a small team (2-4 people) rather than as an individual whenever possible.

Our goal is to select a cohort that reflects diverse communities with a shared commitment to building momentum around the Family Resource Center model.

Cohort Structure

We are accepting 3-6 applicants for this cohort. Applicants represent teams of 2-4 people.

By applying to this cohort, you are indicating your intent to participate in monthly 90-minute sessions from June – November 2026. One application question asks about your ideal availability. If selected, we will do our best to identify a recurring 90-minute time block that works for the group.

Participants are asked to commit to monthly sessions from June through November. This initial phase is designed to help us learn what participants need and how best to support their progress. After November, the cohort may continue in a different format based on what we learn.
