Parent School Start Times Survey

The Lexington Public Schools is surveying parents to better understand school start times across the district. A Task Force has been assembled to conduct research and gather feedback from the community, teachers, and students. This Task Force is researching potential changes to determine what is in the best interest of students. These changes may include more than one level (elementary, middle, high school) to achieve that aim.

The Middlesex League Superintendents signed a letter pledging to look into high school start times between 8:00am and 8:30am at the start of the 2018-19 school year (letter can be found on the Lexington Public School Start Times Task Force website here: Start Times Website ).

There has been extensive research recently regarding school start times and adolescent sleep-wake patterns. This survey will gather your feedback/opinions on potential impacts of adjusted start times and help us understand how the district can improve. We are seeking feedback in this survey from current parents of LPS students. Please only take this survey one time.

Your response to this survey will remain anonymous.
