Families Rising is seeking presenters for its 2026 virtual Adoption and Foster Care conference on October 21–22, 2026. We invite sessions that help parents, professionals, and advocates build practical skills and knowledge related to foster care, adoption, kinship care, and permanency.
We welcome proposals from adoptive and foster parents, adoptees, people who experienced foster care, birth parents, child welfare professionals, therapists, researchers, and other advocates.
What We’re Looking For
• Workshops should focus mostly on practical strategies and solutions (at least 75% of the session).
• Use a strengths-based approach and positive language and framing when referring to children, birth families, workers, and others.
• Consider how race, equity, and inclusion connect to your topic.
• Presenters must ensure they have permission to share any materials and properly credit others’ work.
Session Details
• Conference format: Online
• Dates: October 21–22, 2026
• Session lengths: 60 or 75 minutes
• Up to three presenters per session
• Please submit no more than three proposals. If you have a preferred topic, note your top choice.
• Presenters receive free registration.
