This survey is to gain community input on the Sault St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians Department of Transportation’s wayfinding project. A wayfinding system refers to the ways an individual uses tools such as directional signs and maps to get to a destination. This project is intended to improve current signage to help community members and visitors better navigate tribal lands (e.g., roadways, community centers, tribal offices, trails/forests, walkways, recreation areas, etc.).
This system will use Anishinaabe language, culture, identity, traditions, and history to create wayfinding tools for our communities across the seven-county service area. Your input will help make sure the system reflects our communities’ collective values and identity.
This survey is anonymous. At the end of the survey, we ask for your name and email so we can enter you into a drawing for a $200 e-gift card. Your identity will not be associated with your survey responses.
