2nd Non-Statutory Public Consultation

Galway City Council is pleased to invite you to take part in the second stage of consultation on the new Renmore Neighbourhood Park Project.

The Renmore Neighbourhood Park Project is an exciting opportunity to reimagine and connect the numerous green spaces located throughout Renmore. The project will be transformational for Renmore, Ballyloughane and Lough Atalia. It is envisioned that the project will create people focused, accessible, connected, public, green spaces, with biodiversity-friendly planting, age and mobility-friendly pathways, and spaces for play and relaxation.

This is the second public consultation on the project and follows on from our extensive public consultation in January and February 2025. The Design Team analysed the feedback received during the first consultation and, taking into consideration the sites’ constraints, developed 9 concept designs:

- 3 designs for Renmore
- 3 designs for Ballyloughane Beach
- 3 designs for Lough Atalia

Please read the Information Boards before completing the survey. The survey contains questions asking you about the design options presented in the Information Boards. The Information Boards also describe the rationale for each design option, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. Click here for the Information Boards.

You may complete the survey on your phone, laptop or desktop. For optimum use, we recommend that you use a laptop, tablet or desktop.

You may complete the survey online or, alternatively, we would be happy to hear your feedback at our public consultation event on 1st October 2025 (4pm-8pm) in the Renmore Community Centre. Paper copies of the survey will also be available at the consultation event.

Responses from this consultation survey will help to refine the design of the three areas which will presented for further consultation in the coming months. Your input will help shape the future of the area ensuring it serves the needs of the local community both now and for generations to come.

The survey should take approximately 10 minutes. Please note there is a space for other/general comments at the end the survey. The survey will be open for four-weeks from Thursday 25th September to Thursday 23rd October 2025.
