Your Opinion Counts!

The City of Winston-Salem, together with Forsyth County and the Housing Authority of Winston-Salem (HAWS), is working on a study to improve housing options in the community. This study, called an Assessment of Fair Housing, is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) so that the city and county may continue to receive federal funds for housing and community development. The study will look at whether everyone in Winston-Salem and Forsyth County has similar choices for housing regardless of their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, religion, whether they have children, or whether they have a disability. It will also outline a plan to address barriers to fair housing choice in the city and county.

An important part of this study is hearing from members of the public on issues of fair housing and housing choice. This survey is one way we'll gather input.

Your answers will be confidential.  We'll only report this information in combination with other survey responses and in summary format to protect your privacy. Please do not write your name or other personal information anywhere on the survey. You may stop the survey at any time without losing any benefits that you otherwise receive.
