Thank you for taking this survey! It includes a mix of ranking order and open-ended questions and should take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
Background:
The City of Buellton is seeking community input on future uses for a 0.68-acre green space (the “Willemsen Green”) portion of the 24-acre City-owned property at 202 Dairyland Road.
In 2021, the City conducted a survey to gather input that helped guide how a portion of the Willemsen Property will be used. The current and planned uses are consistent with the desires of the community identified during prior visioning and survey efforts. The improvements currently include a library, an outdoor children’s museum, an event facility, and sports fields. Specific long-range uses for the Willemsen Green section of the property were not detailed in the approved plan for the site, and the City wants to hear your ideas for its future!
Recently, the City entered a five-year lease for the Willemsen Green portion of the property with a private educational facility serving grades pre-K through 5. After that period, additional planning will be needed to determine the next phase of land use. Your feedback here will help shape what comes next! Use this survey to share what you would like to see in this area and anything you would prefer not to see.
Thank you for your valuable input!
