Wheatbelt Land-use - navigating new industries in the low carbon and natural capital era.

Thank you for participating in our survey. Your feedback is important and contributes to a vibrant Wheatbelt community creating healthy environments and livelihoods.
Name of Researchers: Alex Johnson (WNRM), Marit Kragt (UWA)

This project is supported by the Australian Government through funding from the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program under the Natural Heritage Trust.

Invitation:

This project aims to help producers navigate potential opportunities to engage with carbon and natural capital projects. You are invited to take part in this survey to ensure that this project delivers outcomes useful to industry. Your answers will inform the research team of barriers to adoption and current knowledge and opinions on the nature repair economy.

Aim of the Study (What is the project about?):

As new environmental markets emerge, opportunities arise for producers to diversify income streams, enhance farm sustainability, and foster positive environmental outcomes.

This project will use modelling to compare potential outcomes related to Carbon, Nature Repair, and Biomass markets.

What does participation involve?:

Participation involves completing a short, anonymous, online survey that will take approximately five to 10 minutes. The survey will cover your knowledge and opinions on different areas of nature repair markets, and ask about your willingness to participate in nature repair markets.

Voluntary Participation and Withdrawal from the Study:

Participation in this survey is completely voluntary and you can withdraw from involvement at any time prior to completing the survey without explanation. There will be no consequences, effect or knowledge of your withdrawal should you choose to do so.

As the survey is anonymous, we cannot remove your answers once you have completed the survey.

Your privacy:

Your participation in this study and any information you provide will be treated in a confidential manner. Your responses will be collated and presented without any identifying information in any publication or presentation. As it is an anonymous survey the data will be kept in a non-identifiable format in a secure server for a period of seven (7) years.

Possible Benefits:

Your input will help guide the project direction on what is important to producers, and will help to ensure that this project benefits the producer community. Once completed, the (averaged and anonymous) results of the survey will be published in a report to help producers with their decision-making, and will be presented at workshops and conferences across the Wheatbelt region.

Possible Risks and Risk Management Plan:

There are no foreseeable risks associated with the research.
