The Westport Planning Board is creating a new vision for the Route 6 corridor from Fall River to Dartmouth and needs your feedback! The neighborhood plan will develop recommendations for new recreational and green spaces, guide small-scale commercial development, and initiate new strategies to create housing for key groups like seniors and young families. Environmental concerns will be central to this effort given the proximity to sensitive natural features like wetlands and Bread and Cheese Brook. The objective of this plan is to develop a long-range guide for new development and neighborhood improvements for the area around Route 6 and produce zoning recommendations. The project kicked off in July 2025 and will finalize in June 2026.
