We recognize that Hurricane Helene significantly affected Waynesville parks, recreation, natural resources, and outdoor facilities. Grants for Parks
We can apply for state, federal, or private funding to help pay for new park projects and improvements.
Park Improvement Bonds
Big upgrades need big plans. Bonds let us borrow money now to build better parks and pay it back over time.
Developer Contributions
When new homes or businesses are built, developers pay a fee or provide recreation opportunities within or nearby the development, helping everyone have access to parks.
Dedicated Park Tax
A small part of property taxes goes straight to keeping our parks beautiful and adding new features.
Direct Donations
Donations made by residents and visitors through the Parks & Rec website can support programs, events, and park improvements.
