Have Your Say: Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Review

Women With Disabilities Australia (WWDA) wants to hear from you!

The Australian Government is reviewing the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). This law has been in place since 1992, ensuring the rights and protections of people with disability and chronic health conditions. The Review is looking at whether the law still works today, and how it can be improved.

WWDA is inviting our members to share experiences and ideas that will shape our advocacy around the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). Your voice will help inform our submission to government and make sure that the needs and rights of women, girls and gender-diverse people with disabilities are represented.

We recognise that some questions in this survey are complex. The Review is asking about detailed areas of the law and its systems that might be hard to talk about. We understand that some questions may not be feel accessible to everyone, but want to make sure our community is heard and included. We have included them so that the information can help co-design and create real change for our community. For more information about the DDA and the Review, visit our Linktree to find helpful guides and resources.
  • Plain English and video explainers are available for each question on the Review. Any question that does not apply to you or feels too hard to answer can be skipped.
  • This survey may take about 20 minutes to complete, but there is no time limit. The survey can be closed at any time.
There are other ways you can participate in the DDA Review, including making your own submission or attending a consultation session. Click here to find out more.
