2026-2027 Ventura County SELPA and Community Advisory Committee (CAC) Family/Caregiver Survey

A Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) is the way California organizes special education. School districts and county offices of education join together in geographical areas to pool resources and develop a local plan to deliver special education in their region. Ventura County SELPA supports 21 school districts.

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a required advisory body to the SELPA made up of parent representatives from each district as well as agency representatives. The CAC annually seeks input from families/caregivers as to training needs.

The purpose of this survey is to help the CAC learn from families served by the VC SELPA about your needs and priorities for parent training. Your input is valuable, and we are listening!


Un Área de Plan Local de Educación Especial (SELPA) es la forma en que California organiza la educación especial. Los distritos escolares y las oficinas de educación de los condados se unen en áreas geográficas para aunar recursos y desarrollar un plan local para impartir educación especial en su región. El SELPA del Condado de Ventura apoya a 21 distritos escolares.

El Comité Asesor Comunidad (CAC) es un órgano asesor obligatorio del SELPA, compuesto por representantes de padres de cada distrito, así como por representantes de agencias. El CAC solicita anualmente la opinión de las familias y cuidadores sobre las necesidades de capacitación.

El propósito de esta encuesta es ayudar al CAC aprender de las familias que son servidas por el VC SELPA acerca de sus necesidades y prioridades para las capacitaciones de padres. ¡Su opinión es valiosa, y estamos escuchando!
