SGNA Reprocessing Training: A Comprehensive Review of Endoscope Reprocessing Scholarship

Course Overview:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to discuss the steps of flexible gastrointestinal endoscope reprocessing according to SGNA practice statements. The course will consist of a 60-minute pre-recorded webinar with the following objectives:

1. Review SGNA reprocessing and disinfection statements and guidelines.

2. Review steps in endoscope reprocessing.

3. Discuss best practices in meeting the guidelines/steps in endoscope reprocessing.

4. Explore accreditation considerations related to endoscope reprocessing.

Scholarship Opportunity:

The scholarships provide direct support to deserving applicants to cover the course registration fee as well as an Endoscope Reprocessing and High Level Disinfection Chart. This course will be held virtually in November 2024.

This is a one-time, non-renewable scholarship.

Eligibility:

1. Applicant must be a current SGNA member in good standing.
2. Applicant must be a registered nurse or technician who performs endosocpe reprocessing or teaches others how to reprocess endoscopes.

Applications must be submitted by October 10, 2024.
