KENET is the not-for-profit membership organization that provides Internet connectivity and community cloud-based digital services to over 230 member institutions that include universities, tertiary colleges, research institutions, teaching hospitals and other affiliated institutions. KENET also regularly collects hard facts and perception data from member institutions, students, faculty and researchers that is used to advance institutional digital readiness of member institutions.
KENET is now conducting a "quick" AI Adoption, Adaptation, and Innovation Survey of member institutions to understand how artificial intelligence or AI is being used by students, faculty, researchers, and administrative staff of member institutions that represent the academic sector or Kenya. The data shall be analyzed and shared with member institutions. The data will also help KENET to build the necessary sovereign shared AI infrastructure and applications to support research and educational technology services.
This survey is anonymous and shall not collect personal data. KENET is fully compliant with the Data Protection Act of 2019 and is registered as both a data processor and data controller and the data collected will be used strictly to advance research and education in Kenya.
