This survey accompanies the third round of community meetings for the Riverview Community Plan update. We appreciate those who have participated in our past meetings and surveys. The feedback received was incorporated into the draft ideas presented in this survey.
Background: On February 21, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners directed staff to update the existing 2005 Riverview Community Plan. At the same time, the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) began a separate study to conduct a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) study along US 301 from the Selmon Expressway to Sun City Center. As this may result in a potential expressway extension, which could significantly influence land use and mobility along the U.S. 301 corridor, the Planning Commission and THEA are working together to align the community plan update with the transportation study.
