EGFR+ UK is a charity run by and for patients and their carers living with EGFR mutated lung cancer. Our mission is to support patients and their carers and to help them live well, with and beyond EGFR+ lung cancer. We are the voice for EGFR+ patients that policy makers, researchers and the pharmaceutical industry listen to and respect.

We conduct this annual Member Experience Survey to inform our future strategy and enable us to speak with authority on your behalf to the politicians, clinicians, regulators and researchers in whose hands our futures lie.
This year, we are collaborating with The Open University to better understand the factors that affect patient experiences and wellbeing, so we can provide better support to our members in the future.

What does it involve

The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete, and will ask about:
- your experience of EGFR-mutated lung cancer
- aspects of wellbeing such as current mental health, loneliness, confidence in managing your condition and quality of life
- your involvement with peer support organisations
- your experiences of peer support

Compensation
Participants who complete the questionnaire by 14th September 2026 will be able to enter a prize draw to win one of five £25 Amazon vouchers. The winners will be drawn at the end of the study on 15th September 2026.

How will the information collected be stored and used?
Data collected during the study will be stored on a secure, encrypted server. All data collected will be anonymous, and only aggregated summaries of the results will be reported. This means you will not be identified in any report or publication arising from this work.
Your responses will be used both for research purposes and to inform EGFR+ UK's future advocacy, services and support strategy. No personal information will be passed to anyone outside the charity or research team. Your participation will be treated in strict confidence in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act.
An anonymised summary of the overall findings will be made available on our website after the study has finished.
