This award recognises outstanding Australia Awards alumnae in the Solomon Islands who have made significant contributions in their respective fields. The award celebrates women who have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and dedication, breaking barriers and creating opportunities for others. It honours those who inspire positive change in their communities, workplaces, and industries, serving as role models for future generations.

Alumni considered for an Alumni Leadership Award must be a Solomon Islands citizen who has graduated from a tertiary institution with the Government of Australia’s scholarship, fellowship, or short course programs including Australia Awards Scholarships, Australia Awards Pacific Scholarships, Australia Awards Fellowships, Australia Awards Short Courses. Alumni must also meet one or more of the following requirements:

· Demonstrate utilisation of the skills, knowledge and experience related to their Australia Awards study area, to achieve an outstanding result in Solomon Islands

· demonstrate an outstanding achievement and identify where leadership has been demonstrated

· contribute to an area of strategic value to Australia and Solomon Islands

· be able to clearly state what development outcome has been

achieved/facilitated by the alumnus or alumna

· demonstrate contribution to linkages with Australia and/or other regional linkages

· represent AASI in a positive light, in the general community, within the professional community and to the Governments of Solomon Islands and Australia

Women with disabilities and other individuals contributing to the diversity of Solomon Islands society will be highly considered for this award.
