The University of Queensland is proud to sponsor the Interschool Queensland Beyond The Arena Award and amazing Prize!

Selected by a panel made up of UQ, an IQ representative and an EA Coach, the winner will receive a $3,000 tuition credit toward the Diploma of Equine Management (ACM50421) at UQ Skills. This credit may be used for enrolment up till the 2028 intake.

Turn your passion for horses into a career. Delivered at UQ Gatton or online, this nationally accredited 12 month program will expand your knowledge of:
  • Horse welfare, behaviour and education
  • Health, nutrition and fitness
  • Breeding, team leadership and business management

To be considered for this amazing prize, applicants must have completed year 10 and be over 16 years of age.

The winner will be announced on Wednesday 1 July at the 2026 Edwards Saddleworld Interschool Queensland State Championships during the presentation.
