Award Description
The Canadian Home Builder's Association - Central Okanagan Women in Construction Committee are offering an Education Award to a part-time or full-time mature students who are diversifying their skills and pursuing post-secondary education towards an apprenticeship in a designated Residential Construction related program. To create a better future for themselves, their families and communities. Promoting diversity within the residential construction industry is a goal of the Women in Construction Committee and all applications of all backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. The Award is merit-based and awards the successful candidate(s) $2000.00 to be used towards program fees, tools, textbooks, living expenses, daycare, rent, etc.
To be eligible to apply for funding, the applicant must be enrolled at a recognized educational institution. The recipient will receive $2000.00 to be spent as they see fit.
