Shared, patient-centered decision making to individualize treatment recommendations and the importance of staging using calculators to guide the course of treatment, along with vein mapping and angiography to facilitate evidence-based decision making for CLTI patients will be reviewed. Approaches to shared decision making in complex CLTI scenarios, including consideration of palliative wound care in patients who are not candidates for limb preservation, will be discussed.
