2026 Call for the Public Health Partnership Conference Award Nominations

Please consider nominating a stellar candidate for one of the public health award categories listed below. Both nominators and award recipients will be recognized during the 2026 Public Health Partnership Conference, April 22nd - April 24th, in Lake Placid, NY. We strongly encourage nominators to attend this event, or send a delegate as they will be included in the recognition ceremony. Self-nominations are also accepted!

The deadline for nominations is COB 5pm EST on Friday, March 13th, 2026.

Outstanding Contribution for Public Health Service – recognizes an individual or organization for outstanding and innovative public health service in NYS.

Environmental Health Leadership Award – recognizes an organization, local health department, district/state office or individual that has made longstanding contributions to the field of environmental public health.

Hermann M. Biggs Memorial Medal and Certificate - this lifetime achievement award honors and recognizes an individual with demonstrated outstanding achievements in public health in New York State.

Legislator of the Year Award – recognizes a state or local government legislator in New York who has been a public health champion and who has been supportive of public health issues.

NYSPHA Membership Award – recognizes a member for their contributions to public health and NYSPHA.

NYSACHO Membership Award – recognizes a member for their contributions to public health and NYSACHO.

NYSARH Membership Award – recognizes a member for their contributions to public health and NYSARH.

Student Excellence in Public Health Award – recognizes a student (High school-post-secondary) who is committed to public health initiatives and community improvement.

NYS Fellowship Excellence in Public Health Award – recognizes a fellow working through the NYS Public Health Corps who is committed to public health initiatives and community improvement.
