Eligibility Requirements
Volt Credit Union will award three $1,000 scholarship to an outstanding Springfield area community
member to aid them in their pursuit of higher education during the 2025-2026 school year.

* Hillcrest Student Scholarship
* Volt Member Scholarship
* Volt Community Scholarship

Scholarships are a single monetary reward to be applied to the cost of tuition, books, and/or lab fees (if
applicable). The Volt Credit Union Scholarships are open to community members who plan to continue
their education at an accredited university, college, or technical school. Volt Credit Union employees,
Board and Committee Members, and their spouses or children are not eligible for the scholarship.

* Must be a live in one of the thirteen counties we serve in Missouri which include: Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, Stone, Taney, or Webster County
* Must be planning to attend an accredited college, university or technical college in the United States as a full time student in 2026.
* Must provide verification of acceptance to a school before scholarship funds are disbursed.

Eligible Members must complete and return the following materials no later than Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
* Online Scholarship application form
* Photo of the applicant.
* One letter of recommendation
* Corresponding essay with application

Award Information
The winners will be notified by telephone or mail on or before April 17, 2026 and will be invited to Volt Credit Unionʼs Annual Membership Meeting for special recognition. Scholarship funds will be sent to the post-secondary school in the student's name upon confirmation of enrollment.
By submitting these materials, I agree that the attached essay is my original work and all personal information is true. I agree to cooperate with Volt in promotional activities related to the scholarship program, and should I be selected as a winner, I give them permission to use my name, photo, and/or essay for promotional purposes.
