The Town of Vernon's Planning and Zoning Commission is updating its Plan of Conservation and Development, or POCD. The POCD establishes a community's vision for its future land uses, including conservation and development areas, and outlines goals, objectives and strategies to advance towards that vision. The State requires towns to update their POCD every ten years to be eligible for discretionary funding. Vernon's last comprehensive update was done in 2011.

As part of this update, the Commission is seeking your input to identify community priorities, generate ideas, and encourage participation in the POCD process. Your participation in this survey is an important first step in helping to determine the updated Plan's contents.

The survey will be open until November 1, 2020.

On behalf of the Town of Vernon Planning and Zoning Commission, we thank you for your participation, and please follow along with the ongoing planning process.
