AMCHP Youth/Young Adult Experience /Youth Day Planning Workgroup Interest Form

Workgroup Description: This workgroup will provide ideas and recommendations for the youth/young adult experience at the AMCHP 2026 Annual Conference, taking place in Washington, DC from March 7-10, 2026, including the Saturday Youth Day. This might include recommendations for speakers, topics and activities that should be a part of Youth Day or the whole conference, experiences youth and young adults should have before and during the conference, and ways to promote events.

This form is for youth and young adults ages 13-25 to express interest in participating in the workgroup. We will review interest forms and notify selected workgroup members prior to the first meeting in August. We have limited slots, and are hoping to get broad representation by geography, age, and reasons for joining.
Frequently Asked Questions:

What is the level of commitment for a youth to participate in the workgroup? Attend a 2-hour virtual meeting on Zoom once a month leading up to the AMCHP Conference (6-7 meetings total). There are activities that can happen outside of meetings if there is interest for further involvement.
What is the timeframe, meeting time? Meetings will take place virtually using Zoom and happen after school hours to accommodate youth schedules. Meeting date and time TBD (will be sending out a doodle poll to everyone who gets accepted).
Is there compensation for workgroup participants? Every young person who is committed to being on this workgroup will receive a scholarship to attend the AMCHP Conference for free, and we have 10 slots available. Travel/room accommodations may be provided on a case-to-case basis.
