AICPA & CIMA Global Women to Watch

Through the Global Women to Watch, the AICPA & CIMA and the Women’s Initiatives Executive Committee (WIEC) recognize women who have made significant contributions to the accounting and finance profession and demonstrate strong leadership within it.

Nomination Guidelines:
  • Nominations for Global Women to Watch open June 8, 2026 and close July 31, 2026.
  • Women can only be recognized once.
  • Recipients must be members of the AICPA or CIMA.
  • You may submit multiple nominations (including self-nominations), but only one form is required per nominee. Additional submissions will not increase the likelihood of selection.
  • Candidates nominated for both categories will be evaluated in the category that best fits their level of experience.
  • Selected nominees will be notified directly to contribute to their nomination.
Recognition Categories:
Recognition can be given in two categories, Experienced Leaders and Emerging Leaders, which are defined below. Categories of evaluation are also listed below. Evidence of every item listed is not required for consideration, but nominees should have made significant contributions in the appropriate category in which they are nominated.

Women selected will be notified by mid-September 2026.

Emerging Leader
Typically has approximately 5–14 years of professional experience and is in the early to mid‑stages of their career. Emerging Leaders are already demonstrating leadership, influence, and commitment to the profession, with clear momentum and potential for future impact. While many are pre‑partner or pre‑executive, role and title alone do not determine eligibility.

Experienced Leader
Typically has 15 or more years of professional experience and is an established professional whose leadership and contributions have created lasting impact. Experienced Leaders often, but not always, hold senior leadership or recognized expert roles and demonstrate sustained influence through their service, leadership, and contributions within their organization, community, or the accounting and finance profession. Titles may vary and do not alone determine eligibility.
