This survey aims to provide insights on how businesses identify, measure and respond to multiple crime and security risk factors. It focuses on how businesses are using data or a “risk model” to inform decisions about security and/or loss prevention. The definition of a retail crime risk model is:

A systematic framework used to identify, assess, and quantify potential crime / security risks. It typically has the goal of informing decision-making and mitigating adverse outcomes.

The findings will be reported in aggregate form - with no identifying information from participants - in an ECR Retail Loss report. We do ask for your business email address so that we can identify multiple responses from within the same business to avoid skewing the findings.

The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. It is dynamic and so questions will be automatically tailored to you as you proceed.

Please complete the survey by Friday 17th October 2025.
