Student Earth Day Art Competition

Join CRRA in celebrating Earth Day this year by entering our second annual student art competition. To enter, create an original work of art that showcases our 2026 theme Earth’s Zero-Waste Heroes!
Kids, imagine yourself in a world of sustainability superheroes! What does it look like? Who are the warriors leading the charge for the world's sustainable future?

We encourage all contestants to use sustainable paper, art supplies, or digital media in the creation of your masterpiece. Any piece of work using AI will be disqualified.

Rules and Instructions:
  • Art contest is open to all California students grades Kindergarten through 12th.
  • Contestants will be divided into two categories based on their grade level. Grades K-5th will be placed in one category while grades 6th-12th will be placed in another.
  • One entry is allowed per person.
  • All submissions must be 2D art.
  • AI (artificial intelligence) can NOT be used to generate all or portions of your submission. Any confirmed use of AI will result in disqualification in the contest.
  • Art gallery dimension requirements:
    Minimum: 11" wide x 8.5" high, Maximum: 14" wide x 11" high (landscape orientation)
  • Upload a high resolution image of your artwork to this form.
  • Please do not write your name on your artwork.
  • Parental consent must be given along with art submission. Failure to do so will disqualify the submission.
Submission Deadline is March 27, 2026

Voting Period
  • Voting will take place Monday, April 6th through Friday, April 17th.
  • All CRRA members will be allowed one vote for their top selection in each category.
The top 3 submissions will be announced via social media on April 22, 2026.
  • All artwork will be displayed along with the first name and last initial of the artist on CRRA's website.
  • Top 3 contestants in each category will be awarded a gift card in the following amounts: 1st place $50, 2nd place $25, 3rd place $25. Gift cards will be emailed to the email address submitted on this form by April 25, 2026.
  • Submitted artwork may be featured in upcoming CRRA news, emails, or conference material.
