RSGB VHF Contests Survey for 2026 Rules

The RSGB VHF Contest Committee are considering the rules for next year's VHF / UHF / SHF contests. We would like to receive your feedback on some ideas we have in mind, as well as to receive your broader feedback.
1.
Last year we made some changes to VHF NFD. One of these included reducing the operating time on 70cm and 23cm to 8 hours and have these times not overlap (70cm on Saturday, 23cm on Sunday). This was done for all sections apart from the Open Section and was intended to reduce the number of people needed to run VHF NFD.
We're not clear whether this has worked to improve enjoyment or now and have received some negative feedback, so we'd like to revisit the experiment.
Should we
Keep 70cm and 23cm in Restricted, Low Power and Multi-Single sections as 8 hours each and non-overlapping
Move back to allowing 70cm and 23cm operation for the whole of the contest in all sections
I have no strong opinion
I do not plan to enter this contest
