Marlboro Pike Branding and Wayfinding Community Survey

The goals for the Marlboro Pike Branding and Wayfinding project:
  • Beautify and enhance Marlboro Pike as a catalyst to attract future economic development and create an inviting, pedestrian and bicycle friendly corridor.
  • Establish a Marlboro Pike brand and signage program for the corridor.
  • Develop a consistent, safe and attractive street beautification program that defines the corridor and controls traffic flow.
  • Provide recommendations for locating additional wayfinding signage to highlight Marlboro Pike amenities.
What is branding & wayfinding?

Branding is the development of an identity that differentiates a community, captures its unique collective identity and represents it in a distinct manner.
Wayfinding is a method used to deploy the brand, help people navigate through an area, orient people, and help route you to a destination. The goal of the signage and wayfinding is to highlight the region’s amenities and identify the area as Marlboro Pike.

What is street beautification?

This is a process of making visual and functional improvements to streets and surrounding public spaces that enhance their aesthetic appeal, quality of life and social, economic and environmental well-being.

What is the purpose of this survey?

The purpose of this survey is to gather your feedback on the color study options developed from previous community engagement to identify a preferred brand logo option.
