2026 VDC REQUEST FOR SPEAKER PROPOSAL

We appreciate your interest in presenting at the 12th annual Vermont Development Conference, scheduled for November 17, 2026.

The Vermont Development Conference is looking forward to receiving varied proposals from around the industry with a particular interest in sessions that focus on timely issues. Some of these may include (but are not limited to):

  • Creative financing and funding sources
  • Innovation in housing affordability
  • Federal impact on land use & development industry
  • Public/Private Partnerships
  • Climate action and real estate development
  • Act 250 and relevant legislation
  • Resilient design
  • Infrastructure in Rural Communities
  • Emerging construction technologies- DEI in land development

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT...

Please fill out this form and submit by June 5. Please be aware that proposals submitted after this date may not be considered.

The Vermont Development Conference will be refining the programming and will select and work with presenters leading up to the event to fully understand the content and develop the sessions. Please note this may result in changes to the duration or format of your session. Proposal responses will be sent out by June 22.
Please note presenters will be required to do the following, so by submitting this RFP, you are agreeing to:
  • Submit the final title and content to the VDC Planning Team by July 10.
  • Attend mandatory speaker training sessions.
  • Submit your draft PowerPoint (PPTx) presentation for revisions by November 2.
  • Tailor your session based on feedback provided and submit the final version of your session including the PPT presentation by November 10.

Please keep in mind that these are intended to be valuable, content-packed time slots. These are not marketing sessions for presenters to a captive audience.
