Meade Road Realignment and Blackmore River Access Review

Litchfield Council is seeking feedback on a proposal put forward by an adjoining landowner (585 Letchford Road, Darwin River) in 2022, involving the Meade Road *paper road reserve, which currently provides limited but longstanding informal public access to the Blackmore River.

This may involve the closure of part of the existing Meade Road paper road reserve and the creation of a replacement road alignment through adjacent Crown land.

The area has been used by the community for many years to access the Blackmore River for recreation and other activities. Council is seeking feedback to better understand how the area is used and valued, and any potential impacts, concerns or opportunities associated with the proposal.

Your feedback will help inform Council's future consideration of this matter.

Thank you for taking the time to have your say.
