1. Overview

ITE has been contracted in the past by the USDOT to provide Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Infrastructure, and Connected Transportation Standards Development, Maintenance and Related Activities for the Intelligent Transportation Systems - Joint Program Office (ITS- JPO). ITE is expecting to receive another request for proposal to enter into a long-term 60-month Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) contract utilizing Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), or a hybrid of both types, Task Orders (TOs).

ITE has historically partnered in these efforts with both AASHTO and NEMA as Standards Development Organizations to support the legislatively directed ITS Standards Program to develop non-proprietary standards to enable the integration of ITS technologies for a seamless, interoperable and resilient transportation system. ITE has worked together for many years on ITS standards development activities and brings a diverse set of stakeholders, viewpoints, and experience to this work.

The ITS JPO Standards Development ID/IQ contract has also been used to fund tasks under the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Operations and Office of Safety. ITE is expecting a similar approach to the next ID/IQ request forthcoming.

This request seeks to gather information from interested companies, organizations, associations, and individuals who may wish to partner with ITE on this anticipated RFP. Please complete the form, and ITE staff will reach out to discuss any additional information required.

The deadline to respond is December 13, 2024. Please send an email to standards@ite.org should you have any questions.

Thank you.
