Genesee Community Survey

Class B Vehicles (Van-Based Recreational Vehicles)

Purpose:

This survey seeks community input on whether Class B Vehicles (van-based vehicles equipped for recreational use) should be permitted for long-term parking in residential driveways in Genesee.

Please note:

This survey is intended to gather community input only. It is not a formal vote.

Passenger vans used solely for transportation (including Sprinter-style vans 25 feet or less) are permitted and are not the subject of this survey.

Additional definitions are included for reference and consistency, but are not required to complete the survey.

Responses are anonymous.
1.Class B vehicles are van-based vehicles equipped for recreational use and are 25 feet or less in length. Many appear similar to passenger vans from the street. Which option best reflects your preference?
2.Which consideration resonates more with you when thinking about this question?
3.If Class B vehicles were permitted, which conditions would matter most to you?

(Check all that apply.)
One possible approach would be to allow the vehicle with defined limits, such as:

Short-term only (e.g., 48–72 hours for loading/unloading before or after a trip)

Seasonal limits (allowed during certain months, not year-round)

Frequency limits (e.g., may be parked at home X days per month)

Not continuously stored (must be moved or stored offsite after a set period)

Temporary parking before departure / after return only)
