This survey is conducted as part of a Master’s thesis titled
“Controller vs. Data Scientist: Roles, Duties, and Challenges”
at the Faculty of Business, Hochschule Fulda (University of Applied Sciences).
The objective of this study is to analyze and compare the roles, responsibilities, analytical tasks, and challenges of Controllers and Data Scientists in organizations, as well as their collaboration and future development in the context of digital transformation.
Completing the survey will take approximately 8–10 minutes.
Participation in this study is voluntary. The survey is conducted anonymously, and no personally identifiable data (such as names, email addresses, IP addresses, or company names) will be collected. The data will be used exclusively for academic research purposes within the scope of this Master’s thesis.
All data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / Datenschutz-Grundverordnung, DSGVO) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG). The collected data will be stored securely, accessed only by the researcher, and analyzed solely in aggregated form. The data will not be shared with third parties and will be deleted after completion of the research project in accordance with legal requirements.
